I wouldn't be interested in that, I don't like the red.
Red ones go faster...

An M117 in a W124 estate.
I've been mulling over a project, a modest & minor one as projects go compared to what some people get involved in. I'd like to do a real lightweight (sans c.200Kg) W124 saloon, L/H/D with a M104 3.0 24V (balanced & ported) running on EFI with T/B's mated to a six manual, retaining stock looks.
So when are you starting?
Was also thinking e36. Mainly due to availability and that e30 prices seem to be on the up for a solid one at least.carat 3.6 said:V8 E30's are big fun no matter which lump is in there.

I have a 4.3 m113 in the garage as a starting point.
350z 6 speed manual box I reckon..
Im already building a toyota hilux with the lexus v8 engine
also got another lexus v8 here but unsure what its gonna get used for yet
What I would REALLY like is a 100 HP four stroke engine that could operate at 80% of its rated power for 2,000 hours, weighing less than 60Kg and costing less than ten Grand.
What is the intended application? A 125hp bike engine will sit at 80% of its maximum rpm and deliver 100hp all day long - and then some. An R1 engine (complete with transmission weighs circa 65kg).
Toyota MR2 MK3 roadster with an Audi S8 V8 hanging in midships, remapped to 400BHP.. and then maybe some form of forced induction later - all in a circa 996 KG car
Not really a dream as I have kinda bought it, 3 months of work to finish it, just hoping lift off over-steer is controllable.
Dash needs more convincing to get his done.
I'll give him the joy of that one then!
Multivalve 124 turbo conversion though - not a great drama?
