I remember when these came out ... there was only about 50 ish made ...

Didn't MB 'vet' you if you wanted to buy one ? or was that all part of the hype ?

I also remember when Autocar ( i think ) managed to set one on fire while testing it .... the rear quarter went up where the exhaust got hot ....

Nigh on a mill each weren't they ?

I'd have one of these , then sell it , and get a DTM and a Zonda and an NSX and some other bits and bobs .... ;)

Same rear lights, same front grille ..... what more do you want ? ;)

A Bitch over sleeping policemen...................

For all your back flip requirements............fugly and dated. Could'nt imagine anyone with the bucks choosing that above a DTM, Veyron, Pagani, Enzo etc etc.

You can't really compare them, the CLK GTR road cars must be getting on for 10 years old now.

Why not ? I was thinking more in terms of value not performance, although the McLaren is the same age and I know which I'd prefer.

The CLK GTR Supersport (the red one pictured) is my ultimate dream car - although not in that colour!

Such an amazing car, great back story to the model and one of the most expensive cars ever made  Gorgeous!

I wouldn't turn down an Roadster though! :p

But a car which is one of only 25 ever made will obviously have a huge rarity / collectability factor.

Not if it was a lemon to start with. Could be worse though, imagine if you bought an F50 and the Merc with maybe a Vector thrown in for good measure. Depreciation-tastic !! :)
