Duncan your car in the gallery looks fantastic. I have always had a softspot for the W126, and if I had room to keep one, I would be sorely tempted.

If you have any pictures of the interior, would be good to see them.

It really is a credit to you.

I can only see one thing wrong with it...

Its a shame its not a 500 or even a 560

That looks BETTER than new, fantastic

STILL a shape people know you have arrived. Superb.

I agree, I wanted to post something similar myself!. In fact you've inspired me to persevere with my own car (it helps yours is a very similar colour/age), the fact you've had it 2 years shows these things take time, well done you.

P.S first dibs if you sell it :D

Duncan your car looks great.

Post some pics of the interior when you can.

Looks very nice. Not sure about the wheels or clear indicators though.

Your car looks amazing, my father had a W126 420SE and they are lovely cars.

I do agree with the comment about the wheels, to me they just dont look right, I think a set of original 15 hole design would look perfect.

Were 8 hole wheels not an option on the W126? I've seen lots with them. Having said that, I think 15 hole wheels would look better (but are a pain to clean).

Is that the original paint, it just seems an unusual colour for a W126.

Lovely car though.

Well, thanks for all your nice coments guys!
I will take some pictures of the interior soon and post them up.
I think the wheels were put on the car by Speeds of chesterfield maybe in the hope of making it look a little more "current". The car was left on the shelf for a year or two after the new model was on sale so it was first registered to Speeds as first owner in 1992.
The car still needs more care but maybe in the future I'll tackle some of the "irritating" blemishes that are here and there.
I still love the look of the thing when I open the garage door! It gets used a couple of times a week - I just love driving it around!
I noticed recently that there are more Aston Martins on the road than W126s! They must be getting quite rare now.
Duncan.

Agreed, Astons are common as muck :D
