Hi folks

Am looking at one of these tomorrow, it's a 59 plate car at a MB dealer so I'd hope (haha) that everything would be OK.

Anyone got one and could offer some views on what's good and bad. Things to look out for?

Thanks.

Bump for our friend in need.

You could try a few terms in "search" and see what comes back.

Can't comment on the car but I have the 350 bluetec engine in my G wagen and it's superb. Lovely mid range thump, quiet and refined. Also fairly economical even in my big wagen....in a car I imaging it would be excellent.

I can't comment on the coupe but the cabriolet is pretty effin' awesome :D

Watch out for a rattly dash, faulty parking sensors - to do with the sam cat sensor, there's a batch of cars which still have faulty ones which cause the sensors to switch on and off randomly (so may be a little difficult to find that potential fault)

Don't really think there's anything else as the injector issue has long been resolved, only other thing would be the gearbox hesitation on E mode which is cured by a gearbox software update (should have been done) and thereafter by pressing the upshift paddle before you set off/move from the brake to depress the accelerator pedal

Sorry if this is a little late but thought I would try and add my perspective as an owner.

I have had mine since new at September 2011 and overall been very pleased with it.

I am not sure which version of the engine will be in a '59 plate as it was upgraded at some point but for me the engine has a great combination of power with reasonable economy.

Nothing has gone wrong in mine (touch wood) and only a few minor things that I would say:

- It is a big car and tight parking spaces can be an issue. The Mercedes parking sensor system is also not as clear in terms of display (for me) as others from BMW/Audi
- The foot operating parking brake is silly

Overall I would say go for it......

You've seen it by now presumably - any thoughts?

Mine's on a 59 plate

I have to say, it's my first Mercedes and I really like it. Good performance, good MPG. Only gripe is that I went for NAV50 instead of Comand (whoever designed NAV50 clearly doesn't use SatNav).

Regrettably I return the car in December as the contract expires - this time I need 4 doors so will probably get a new CLS (every cloud has a silver lining).

Would I get one again? If it wasn't for 4 doors, then yes, definitely. I found it quite practical all things considered and still get people telling me 'great car'.

Enjoy it!

Hi if you still need advice i have owned one since sept 2010... went for the 19inch AMG wheels which are gorgeous but impossible not to kerb as they stick out further than the tyres!! no adverse effect on ride comfort which is excellent... v fast for a deisel mines the 350 and econemy is around 40MPG our PCP finishes in sept 2013 but we are keeping it as it has everything we want..and ultra reliable...dealers are useless tho...which is a shame... we went for black with black nappa, multicontour seats, command, full glass roof and the AMG body and got the aftermarket dealerfit rear spoiler which makes the car look wicked....with the AMG badge replacing the CDI one it looks like a car worth twice the money.... reccommended buy.... second hand prices for ours are around the 30k mark at the moment which isnt bad... good luck!!:bannana:

Like these I guess ?
