I'm thinking of getting something like this and fitting them next to the foglights.

I think because they are round they will resemble the DRLs on the old e class and therefore look OEM which is what we all want. They come on with ignition and dim when sidelights are turned on. I've added a picture I found of someone else fitting extra lamps near the foglights and they look standard to me.
Would wiring them up cause any errors if they are just taking a signal from the side lights to dim. They'd get their ignition power from the battery or should I connect it to a fuse?
