E Class Wanted

My Dads coming over from spain next week and wants to buy a car to take back, he's after a 211 shape Eclass that must be diesel but not the 220cdi, preferably an estate but thats not essential, he'd like an avantgarde spec and not in silver but with a dark interior, mileage preferably below 60k and he has a budget of £10k, if anyones got one for sale please let me know, tia Chris

He would get a much better deal and a left hand drive version in main land Europe.

He'd get LHD but not a better deal. Used cars in the UK are about the worlds cheapest anyway, but the current weakness of the pound vs Euro makes UK prices seem insanely cheap compared to mainland Europe.

There are stories of people from Eastern Europe buying old Mondeos from UK buyers on eBay, flying over to pick them up, driving them back, converting them to LHD and still making money on the deal.

It does look like used car prices are firming a bit here as fewer new cars are sold and less p/x's come into the market.

This is true. They also buy write-offs and either repair them or use them for spares.
