E220 w212 2015 facelift comand syatem

Hi,

Need help, i have w212 (e220) 2015 face lift, recently i asked my mechanic to install a reverse camera (which i bought), however that didnt work out well as camera never worked plus i lost the hazard panel (incl. Car hearting /eco buttons and passenger airbags sign), dashboard watch not working and also one reverse light is dead.

Mechanic said he has checked the fuses, which are ok and i need to replace the whole Comand system. He said faulty camera or bad Comand system may have resulted this issue. Backlight he said he never connected so its just separate spark taking down the light. Usually boot connected tail light is quite robust so not sure why this is the case here.

On ebay i notice only hazard panel is available for sale.

Replacing the whole Comand system is expensive but i am not sure if purchasing hazard panel will solve the problem. And also not sure about the connection of dashboard Watch too.

any advice or experience about this hazard panel and how i can check if the panel is faulty, plus how i can unscrew or split that hazard panel from Comand system? Any recommended electrician in or near london preferably.

First job, sack your mechanic after he has fixed the faults he caused trying to fit a camera. Trying to blame the reversing camera you supplied wouldn't cut it with me.
Then get in touch with Comandonline in Lightwater, just off the M3 who can diagnose the faults and advise on the Comand issue and repair as necessary..

Thanks, i will be intouch with these guys, hopefully the price is reasonable.

Also any idea if rear light attached to the boot (with reverse light), is repairable or has to change the unit? I called a person who said its rare that this piece malfunction, this could be wiring..?

You'll probably need to make an appointment to book the car in for diagnosis at Comandonline.
I wouldn't know for certain but I would expect the rear light to be LED's and not repairable. You may need a new unit. Comandonline can advise.
