Yes this is for full rebuild. I did not tell them i had gone to MB previously as i wanted them to asses the problem using their own knowledge. They did not mention the TCU
Anyone else have any thoughts on this?
Just a recap, the options are currently £2582 for a replacement transmission control unit from MB but not resolving the possibility there may still be mechanical wear within the gearbox.
Or option 2 of a replacement gearbox for £3400 + vat from JT who appear to exclusively repair/replace automatic gearboxes and sound like they know their stuff?
