E250 Harmon Becker BE 9013, Audio 50 aps upgrade to Carplay Android?

Hi there all. I have the BE 9013 head unit in my 2011 E250 according to vin checker it is a

525	CONNECT 20 HIGH (NTG7)

So I think its a sort of Audio 50 unit which is sort of NTG4 with its legs cut off, or and Audio 20 with Navigation added?

I would like to update it with a modern carplay unit, keeping the old controls.
My question is has anyone done this upgrade with this specific unit, if so can you let me know what i need to order? (I am guessing it is sort of NTG4 compatible, but do i need the extra box as well to do it?)

Option code 525 is Audio50. Basically Audio20 with navigation.

You can check with Home - Integrated automotive UK if they have a unit that will work with your infotainment system.

As you can see from the label it doesn't have the 525 anywhere on the label, so i am really mot sure if its true?!

The option code isn't printed on the actual device, it's only showing on the Datacard.

Also, if you Google "BE 9013" "Audio 50", you'll see that this unit is generally advertised as Audio 50.

This unit does not have native support for Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.

As per my previous post, check with Integrated Automotive if they have an Apple CarPlay adapter that will work with your unit.

Alternatively, you can opt for a 10.25" Android unit. Below is an example:

But this is an example only, I don't know this particular make and you'll need to find a unit that will work with your Audio50.

You can send a message to the eBay seller, or to other sellers, they are usually quite responsive.

None of these units mention Audio 50 they all say NTG 4, 4.5 or 5. I have emailed integrated i await a reply.

I was hoping someone with an Audio 50 had done an upgrade and could confirm what i need

NTG is the generation, not the name of a specific model.

Up to 2011, the W212 had either the basic Audio20 NTG4, or the Audio50 NTG4, or the higher-end COMAND NTG4.

It was then upgraded to either Audio20 NTG4.5, or COMAND Online NTG4.5.
