You knew it made sense all along really, you were just teasing us before..

Just to add to the stats, I did 55k in my E270 (had 38k on the clock when I got it) and averaged 41-42mpg overall.

Best was 52mpg with cruise set to 70mph from Cardiff to Dover.

I see lots of people asking if 42 mpg is real mpg on these cars.Having just sold my e320 diesel estate 73000 milles, she was getting 40+ regular.So the 270 would seem on a par. Hope this helps
