Hi folks, I,m wanting to change my brake pads on my w211 and am a bit worried about the sbc.I think the safest way is probably to disconnect the battery to prevent activation of the sbc unit but I have read from another member that both batteries have to be disconnected.I thought the only battery was in the boot or am I missing something?Awaiting words of wisdom!

There is another battery under the bonnet.
The safest way is to de-activate with a Star but the other option is just to remove the connector on the SBC unit with the ignition off.

That is because it is hiding.
Specifically, it is hiding under the cabin filter assembly at the rear right of the engine bay, as you look from the front.
