E300 on ebay classifieds

Well, it just looks like temperatures written on the two heating dials: 22...26...etc. Not familiar with late W124 controls though.

Definately NO,

How far do you want to travel for one and is it a saloon in particular you want.

Phil

I would travel almost any distance. I'd have Silver Saloon's estate if he were selling!

I prefer an estate, but as I'm only entering the Benz market, I'd be happy with a saloon.

As it is, I'm bidding on another (non-merc) car at the moment, so unless a cracking Benz came into view in the next 12 hours, I'm minded to not commit further.

Don't become too downhearted and impatient.........

I take it, this was the first you've been to see...... use it as a learning experience...... so when a really good one pops its head up, you have something to compare it with...

If you dont get sorted let me know, I'm selling a really nice 96 Estate soon (and the service book has real stamps in it:) )

same heater controls on all of them unless they have aircon (three buttons in the middle) or the digital climate control

not really, because the heater will try and keep the car at those temperatures. They are controlled by a thermostat and a sensor in the rear view mirror mount (see that little grille) but it's not aircon and it's not climate control unless you are trying to sell the car :)

Andy - thanks for the info. Hadn't realised there was a thermostat on the W124. I sit corrected :) (and rather impressed with MB once more)
