Well, with 93031 miles on the clock she went in today for an oil change and an MOT. I’ve covered only 3700 miles over the past 12 months – half of that during the three week holiday in France!
As usual, the MOT was a mere formality :bannana: and all they could note was that the clutch on the A/C compressor is a wee bit noisy – "nothing to worry about though".
Dan the man, at Western, massaged my ego again (…nurse, the screens…) by assuring me they have not seen a better C124 in East/Central Scotland.
The boys in the 'shop still ask if I might be considering selling – not a chance…
I covered zero miles during the past month as I’ve been hooning around in the old Saab. Now, I’m a real fan of these oldtimers, and they were great cars in their day but, dearie me, jumping back into the Coupe after four weeks really brought home to me just how great the Mercedes is and what cr@p the Saab really is

As I said again to Dan, short of some really terminal damage, I intend keeping and maintaining the Coupe regardless of cost.
So, once again to those newbies who keep asking what to buy - get a 124 coupe, the best you can find, 'cos they don't make 'em any more!
