Hey There,

I changed all the exhaust system of my car, at first the configuration was A SET OF long tube headers, no cats, an xpipe and a Borla PRO XS resonator at the end (firs three images).

After a week the sound made me change my mind, i placed two glass packs in the car, in general, the sound was reduced a lot, same for the "rubling". The car was still just making a lot of noise in the range of 1500-3000 rpms... after or before it was quieter.

After two months the noise again made me feel uncornftable. I took the car to the exhaust shop, removed the xpipe and placed a C350 w204 mid resonator (picture 4). When i first strated the car, the sound was so smooth i thought i made it. But as soon as i accelerated, the loud sound and vibration was still there in the 1500-3000 rpms range... after that range the car is quite smooth.

That sound in the low-mid rpm range its awfull (kinda ricer sound), and i cant get rid of it. This made me think that the car had an exhaus problem or maybe i had a bad configuration.

Is that because THE CAR IS DECATTED?
Because of the long tube headers?
Because im using the wrong muffler? (borla pro xs, has an x trail withot restriction)

- The whole exhaust is 2.25
- The glasspacks where changed for a pair of bigger ones
- Right know it has the Long tube headers then the w204 center resonator, then both glasspacks, at the end the borla.
- The car is tunned, has gruppe m intake and bigger TB

I couldnt find a specialized exhaust forum so i wish you can help me with this.

I wish i could have a smooth sound at low rpm and "sportive" one at 3500+
