Steve, me and my E350 are as one now...I've even sorted the perfect driving position.......
My fuel consumption issues start when my left hand keeps accidentally falling on the sport button..

I've only had the car in economy mode so far but will be using manual/flappy padles in the week & then onto sport once the cars "bedded in " so i can see what it's capable of

Not so much to do with top speed but common sense really(avoid using kickdown/braking hard).
