No, the Merc will be treated with the respect it deserves and enjoyed for it's comfort and refinement. We have a B6 S4 for tour use now, and i still have the 130 (and the bikes) for fun.

Well, i picked the car up on Friday and spent six hours clearing the chassis of mud and crud (especially the arch lips and that area), then spent another 8 hours or so on Saturday with a clay bar, polish, carnauba wax, dyson, and leather cleaner and leather food.

Is there any rust on the arches? I see the side skirts have taken a bit of a battering, up front. Any plans for a restoration, or she more a "keep it to use" kind of car?

Leather cleaned and fed, carpets vacuumed, dashboard and steering wheel cleaned, ebay steering wheel ordered (exactly the same, just less worn).

Tiny spots of rust around filler cap and on tailgate but the rest of it's fine. Front wings were replaced a couple of years ago (£1500!) and the rears are fine. The area directly behind the front wheels has been 'shot blasted' over the years but it's just down to the primer, no rust at all. Visible in the pictures. No plans to restore, just maintain in the best condition possible (hence replacement steering wheel, and will see to the rust in due course).

Everything works except for one thing - i can unlock with the IR remote, but can't lock again
Checked all the door switches and they all work, am going to try and resync the remotes later.
