Everything works except for one thing - i can unlock with the IR remote, but can't lock again
Checked all the door switches and they all work, am going to try and resync the remotes later.

I notice from your vin printout that you have option 880 remote locking. The procedure is: aim transmitter at drivers door LED. Press button for 5 seconds. Go round to passenger door, unlock with flip-out key. The procedure described in my handbook (for option 885) is very different, and doesn't work. It took me quite a while to figure this out.
Great car by the way, a fantastic find.

Dave - legend. I've been trying all sorts of things having searched the forum for clues.
I'll give this a go in a minute.
At the moment to lock up i'm opening the rear door on the drivers side, locking the drivers door, and then closing the rear door
At least the remote unlocks!
