Please kindly advise, when I start my car from cold the power steering pump makes a noise which soon disappears when the engine warms up. I can feel the vibration in the steering wheel when I hear the noise as I turn the steering wheel.

It is covered by a special 10 year warranty. Get it replaced ASAP.

Are you sure it's teh steering pump and not the SBC system?

Good luck getting this issue resolved

John

I'd make sure it's got some oil in it first - typical sympton of pump noise when cold.

There are a few listed reasons for this, one is that a hose needs clamping away from the steeing box

The fluid level is good when cold, I think its the PSP because it makes the noise when you turn the steering wheel immediatly after starting from cold, more so if its been standing a few days.

Miro,

I was not aware the PSP is covered by a ten yr guarantee, thanks. Will most probably get it booked in to main dealer to check over and advise

Is the PSP actually covered by a 10 year guarantee? I have the same symptoms. Anyone?
