lost all transmision when temp hit 80, found a leak on back of box. replaced part and new oil from mercedes derby but they supplied me 6 litres of atf and 2 litres of brake fluid in error, worked fine drove ten miles before finding mistake.rang mercedes and they gave me more oil and filter free, and i flushed it , changed it, went in limp mode and code says change transmision,,,,,,, but i think mercedes are at fault? thanks julian
would it be worth trying valves, but it ran perfect before i changed oil the second time, when i flushed contaminated and put in new , it never worked again,,,,, also on faults code it said curcuit b open ?

It doesn't sound like you need a new gearbox....more like something on the electronics on the controller plate has gone down.
Have a specialist take a look at it.
On the point of the atf and the brake fluid, the fluids are two different colours, one being clear and the other being red, so didn't you notice that two different types of fluid were being poured into the box ?

Possible that the brake fluid may have done unpleasant things to seals in the transmission that control the flow of fluid and hence impair the operation of the box itself.
