2012 E63 Wagon
Years ago, before I bought my E63 wagon I had the pleasure of test driving E55BOF's black wagon - it was fantastic but I decided to increase my budget & go for the W212 E63.
To be honest, I still fancy one to run alongside my sweet as 997 C2 & have been toying with trying to sell the white wagon & get an E55 before it's too late.
This one is on AT & the only wagon I can find in the UK for sale, does anyone know this car..?? MOT history looks clean enough & the mileage is sensible & it looks tidy enough, even if the headlights are hideously discoloured..!!
I would love some input from fellow W211 lovers....

It's a bit on the high mile side for my liking. Also at least £2k overpriced, but what do I know:D
(I sold my E55 saloon back in 2019 for £8250 with 121k miles on it. Too cheap I know, but I had an E63 on the drive by then)
Be prepared to spend some money on this one if the engine/gearbox mounts and suspension components haven't been changed in a while.
Also check all the electrics work. The 211 does seem to suffer with battery drains too.
SBC pump could be an issue at some point too, but you know that.

Two observations there - 141k isn’t really that high for a 21 year old estate car and the engines/gearboxes on these are pretty bombproof if not messed about with. If you want a low mileage example you may have to wait a long time, hope that the condition is commensurate with the mileage (as in, properly maintained, good cosmetics etc), and that’s before you start to consider the other factors such as spec, colour, price etc (if you think £12k is £2k too much, think how much a low mileage example would be?)

Price wise - the market has moved on since 2019. I paid less that this for both of my E55K wagons when I bought them almost ten years ago now. But that’s not really relevant today either ;)

Btw, @jonboyE63 - it was my old black E55K you looked at - unless Dennis had a black one too?

Was a clean honest car but again had around 150k on it - mainly longer trips (previous owner, also a forum member was an IT consultant who did around 20k miles a year - long runs from Cumbria to London).

In other words - it was a 2 owner car with full history, good paintwork ran/drove pretty much exactly like the 100k miler I also owned at the same time :)

I love low milers when they come up and am prepared to pay accordingly but not everyone is and they’re not easy to come by - especially for a 21 year old E-class estate! :thumb:

Only £3k more and no comparison the the grey one above. OK, its a saloon but look at the condition and mileage.
The alloys alone are worth the extra £3k

Now this is/was worth the money.
The grey one, I'm not so sure.

Loved this car, was such a great family wagon

As you say, that’s a saloon and not an estate. I would wager the OP is specifically looking for an estate - he looked at mine before, then bought a 212 estate and is looking for a 211 estate now :)

Although I agree it looks attractive for the price if you’re looking for a modified example :thumb:

Will, you’re right, it was yours I viewed, I’ve always been shite with names & faces…
Still kind of wish I’d have bought yours but hey, I’ve had 6 years of excellence with the E63 🥰🥰
I also don’t think 140k miles is high & assuming it’s been well looked after then I’d be happy.
I just bought a 997 with 115,000 miles on the clock so mileage isn’t an issue.
I’m only looking at the moment & I don’t even have a buyer for my W212 so I’ll just keep dreaming for now.
Apologies for confusing you with that E55bof chap 🤣🤣

Wagon all the way, got kids, a big garden & love family euro trips & Mrs Cooke loves shoes 🤣

If it's running 600 bhp, the engine has definitely been messed with. Wonder how long ago the work was done, and who did it, and how hard it has been driven since? For most buyers, it will be worth less than a standard car.

Those headlamps don't suggest money-no-object maintenance either.

No, mine were silver and Tanzanite; I've never had a black one.
