E63 W212 - Air released when parked.

Hi,

I've got an E63 W212 and once I've parked up I can hear an air valve releasing pressure every couple of, maybe five, minutes, even a few hours after I've parked up.

The rear of the car doesn't drop at all, even after leaving for a week +, so I'm assuming it's normal?

Mine did it every 2 minutes for hours. At the last service the dealer reckoned they did a software update to stop it. To be fair I'm up North & the weather has been pants so I haven't sat outside in the sun to hear if it still does it.

Something to do with pressure build up due to heat from compressing the air?

It releases the pressure but the car doesn't drop as it's regulating the correct pressure in the system.

Every car I've had with air suspension lowers a touch or at least settles when the pressure is released. Our MLs visible lower when the pssst happens.
