Ebay Sat Nav

Hi All

Just bought a B class for the Mrs, she wants sat nav so I found these on ebay

DVD GPS for Mercedes Benz A B Class SPRINTER VITO VIANO VW Crafter W169 W245 3G | eBay

Has anyone had any experience with these models, good or bad opinions appreciated, how well do they integrate with the car?

All the stories I have heard about these cheap units is, you get what you pay for..

I fitted an A-Sure one to my clk (generic double din unit) not one like this that is designed to fit the dash.

I agree you get what you pay for however my experience has been great works perfectly and the sat nav is one of the best I have used mine has the TMC function so picks up live traffic updates from the radio. Very happy with it

I would spend more money and get a more powerful unit running android.

If you are looking for a W169 unit, you should consider an original MB unit. If you have a facelift model (i.e. post 2008 with the rectangular wing mirrors) than it is pretty much plug and go (only needs coding if you want the sat nav appear in the cluster).

These 'clone' units are cheap and nasty. The idea is good but the implementation is shocking. Often using rubbish components, primary colours for display which make it look like a kids toy from the Early Learning centre.
Do a search on this forum for Dynavin or Chinese and you will get all sorts of responses.

I run a business fitting Mercedes units and others. I wont fit these chinese things as all too often they break or the customer is disappointed.
