Before we go any further, let me explain myself. Oily bits l understand, what l don't understand, l can read and then understand. When it comes to auto electrics, l could read it today, tomorrow and the next day and still be none the wiser. Wiring diagrams in my Haynes manual resemble a map of the London underground, so explain it to me in simple terms please.
Ok, here we go.
1. The drivers window mechanism is a lot slower than the passenger side, does this just need the door card whipped off and the regulator joints lubricated, or is this the early signs that the regulator/motor is on its way out? ?
2. This is a problem that came with the car when l bought it 3 years ago, not a problem as such, just a bit annoying. When l switch either the sidelights/headlights on, the warning light indicating low screenwash comes on, but not when the parking lights are used.
3. The rear interior lights (middle row of seats and boot lights) worked when a door was opened or from the switch on the centre console, but they now don't. I read somewhere the earth for this was in the well behind the rear wheel where the jack is located. Are problems 2 & 3 earth related?
The car is a W124 '91 230 TE
As always TIA .......Sean
