Anyone had similar problem? had a minor knock - my E300 hit by women coming out of her drive - my car parked , not too much damage but very next day eis packed up - probably started failing immediately didnt lock that night but didnt realise till next day. Insurance co say not their responsibility - i think it is - anyone had a similar experience - could this failure be due to the accident ??

I think it all depends where you got hit and if there were electronic devices behind it!

You mean the person at the insurance co said that, perhaps as an initial reaction

Fact is it insurance is not about panal damage only, get all the details and facts etc and make sure you report it fully so that you can, if necessary, go back with a claim on the womens insurance as part of your (presumed) claim for other damage from the incident.
