Electronics and sams w220 04

Hi I have a S350 2004 I have had the car for over 14 months a recent fault has lead me to purchase a icarsoft i980 which has identified some faults in the electricals.

It has thrown up
SAM DR front left
SAM front Right
SAM rear

I also have faults on 504A, B1066, 9043, B1628, and B1331

The last two point towards the SAM units I haven't noticed any leaking or water in the fuse boxes. I did have a bit in the rear light but cured this and hasn't happened since

I have a basic knowledge of car mechanics and can change somethings specifically electrical. However is there any advice of checking before I go an replace the sams ?

Cheers Chris

Yes, dont change the SAM until you've used Star Diagnosis to diagnose it. It will tell you what those fault codes mean

You can;t code up a new SAM properly (for the options in the car) without Star Diagnosis really.

Thanks

Is there any general maintenance I can do with the electrics overall though I haven't found any leaks it might be worth making sure all the connections are dry etc.

From what I see, the main thing is to make sure that the boot stays dry (expensive audio control units on left hand side (CDC, Nav Drive, Bose amp), and the vents in the scuttle around windscreen are clear so water doesn't get into the foot-wells (and soak the control units on the back of the plate in the foot-well)

Others may have seen other issues too !
