Is there any way I can find out if my engine code is either a W204 or W205? 2016 C Class 220 bluetec with 42000 miles on her. Ive got a code from a code reader that the P200A-21 The charge movement flap (cylinder bank 1) has a malfunction. I will possibly be needing to buy a new manifold but dont know the correct engine code. Regards G.

Your W205 2016 C220d BlueTEC will have either the older OM651 engine, or the newer OM654 engine.

If you run the car's VIN in an online VIN Decoder, it will show the engine serial number. The first 3 digits will be either 651 or 654 - that's your engine model.

EDIT - m80 just posted the VIN Decoder link.

According to Wikipedia, the new OM654 engine was only introduced on the W205 in 2018, do your 2016 car will have the older OM651 engine, but do confirm this using the VIN Decoder.

Splendid. Thank you for the information. It does indeed say its a 651. Thank you. G.

W204 and W205 refer to iterations of the C Class chassis not the engine.

A 2016 C Class will be a W205. The engine number should be listed on the V5

It will be a three digit number, possibly OM651 if its a Diesel?

Appen, but 'Engine' code provides the om (engine number, and just as relevant when needing bits are the next 3 digits.
