Hi

My W211 E320cdi keeps throwing an engine light on and going into limp.

The codes say low fuel rail pressure.

2047-1 rail pressure too low
2015-1 rail pressure too low

The car is billowing both black and white smoke. I've changed both the rail pressure regulator and pressure sensor but to no avail. Any ideas??!!

Thanks

Jon

Lack of fuel pressure can be caused by:

Blocked fuel filter
A leaking off injector
Fuel pressure sensors
A faulty fuel pump.

Stop throwing parts at it and get it diagnosed with a Star.

I've changed the fuel filter too, MB part. The injectors don't look like they're leaking as its dry along the top

Was trying to avoid extra costs!

They leak internally. Hence the term "leak off"

To check leak off, a leak off test kit is used. The fault codes are only half the info.

Trust me. It will be cheaper to get it tested properly than to throw parts at it.
