Engine Management Light :(

Hi yesterday my engine management light turned on, the fault code shows N/A on the reader. Left car for couple hours and it was gone. Did notice earlier in the day that the revs were dropping below 0.5 when waiting at the traffic lights.

Occasional EML of my colleague W203 was caused by stretchen timing chain, in M271 it should be changed at 60k interval...
Like Black55 said, you'll need a star to find out the reason for the EML but if no extra noise at starting, and light is not coming back and idle ok, don't worry (if chain changed).
