Engine not turning over????

The CAN faults are the problem. The electronics only use the CAN when there is a change of state, e.g. starting.
Once the ECUs are operating they do not utillise the CAN until the next communication is required.
Disconnecting the CAN bus when running will not stop the engine running.

Can 134, 132 and 136 i think 134 aswell, cant remember on there????

Still a CAN fault. The different modules around the car can't communicate with each other so no go. This needs checking before you can go further.

wat should i check????????

Had a guy at MB look into the code, he says that they could be a gearbox ECU fault, as the problem is intermittant could be something playing up inside the ECU its self. the codes all are somehow linked and they advise to replace the ECU. Apparantly there are no tests that can be done to prove it is the ECU either so its hit or miss and at £460 for the ECU its pretty expensive, but i have no other suggestions so looks like will have to order, oh and i cant return if it doesnt solve as the ECU unit is now programmed specific to your car.....

Raj,
Before you decide to get the ECU, I would suggest that you go about checking all the fuses on your vehicle. I recently had a problem on my 220 CDI where there was a CAN fault which the STAR would not trace since there was a communication problem with various ECUs on the car. Turned out that there was a small part that had shorted out and it was causing one of the 4-5 fuses to spark and blow. These fuses are located in the big black box on the passenger side firewall. If it is indeed the ECU, try getting one of a wrecked vehicle as these hardly go bad if they are unmolested. 460 is a lot of money and I think if you get a salvage part with warranty, it is worth the gamble. Good Luck.

Another thought, before you go about replacing the ECU, check for carbon deposited with age in the connectors to the ECU, the shifter sensor connections etc. Sometimes the units have trouble communicating if the pins are black since they form a carbon film due to age on electrical contacts.

Asif who did you use to do your work? where abouts are you based? the can faults i get happen when the car stops working it doesnt turn over and thats when i get the faults, if that was the case with the pins it would happen all the time and not intermitantly as mine i would imagine

i suggest you trade the car in for a proper Mercedes. i.e. I built before 1995.
Happy motoring

Raj,
Sorry for not beng able to reply sooner. I am based in Pakistan. Yes, the land where we have more trouble with these cars than probably anywhere else in the world. Techs are not educated and even the sole dealer in Pakistan is a world behind the rest. Troubleshooting in BMWs and Mercs is always trial and error over here. My friend, who owns a workshop is absolutely uneducated but has kept an assistant who knows English so he can operate his STAR Diagnostic Unit and LAUNCH for him. As far as connections malfunctioning due to carbon/dirt film, it can cause intermittent problems. I have had them most recently on my Brake Light Switch contact causing BAS, ESP and ABS to malfunction.

hi
just to update this as I never did....

the resolution was a loose connection to the gearbox unit plug.

it was resolved by a mb technician who went back to basics and went through everything, and when he looked the connector was loose...

go figure how such a simple thing caused so much head ache and stress

Thanks to everyone who helped

Raj
