If you're going to fit a start button how about one in the shift lever? That's the OEM way and there is a shift lever with integrated button already in the catalogue

The new S class, some SLs and newer MBs have a push button start and so I was enquiring on how to hook one up. It isn't broken, just a new gadget to wow people at GTGs.

how abt something like this, off an SL, this ones got a littl chip on the start button thats not really noticable, i was wondering what to get the button to start, and whether it was worth it!

Would that not need a hollow shaft in order to feed wires to it? Are you getting rid of that gear knob?
