i'm looking to upgrade the engine in my c180 and i fancy one of the newer kompressor engines apart from the engine and ecu is there anything else that i need to get? or is there an engine that anybody else would recommend to put in place instead? any help would be greatly appriecated. thanks in advance

eh , that would be a mamoth job ... Just buy a W203
 
After all the work the car would only be fractionally faster.

It would be a similar cost to put an S500 engine and transmission in your C180 - this is a worthwhile job :)
 
as shude says, no point spending time and effort getting a fractional amount of power increase, you may as well go the whole hog..

FYI you would need major blkhead work to put a V8 in your car.... ive explored this possibility before.

The 202`s are not worth that much now, you may as well sell it and go for a bigger engined version, C36 or C43, you may find the insurance will be alot more than a standard model on a modified car!

Try a 230 Kompressor, cheap to buy and insure, excellent performance and reasonable economy.

no doubt the 230K is a good engine, but would you buy a c180, do an angine swap to a 230k ?
this would also show on a hpi check which would probably effect the resale value of the car too!

it would be cheaper to sell the c180 and buy a c230K.
