Engine Undertray

Changed my antifreeze this weekend, and removed the engine undertray for the first time.

It has four self-tapping screws at the front and rear. I assume that they go into little clips made of a folded piece of spring steel. One was sheared off at the front before I started. When I tried to re-install the tray, one of the screws at the back got no grip whatsoever. Perhaps the clip disappeared into the section of steel – if there was a clip?

Has anyone else had problems with the engine / transmission undertray?

regards,

Tim

Hi

Screws and clips are only pence from the dealers buy a few so that you will have them if and when you need them, also put a spot of grease on them to keep them from rusting. Also remember not to overtighten
