EQC boot opening by foot

Hi, still getting to grips with new to me 2021 EQC prem plus..I did have the boot opening by foot working 100% but then I used the key to open and I've maybe disabled the auto option - can anyone advise how to reset ?

I've Googled but cant find a definitive procedure for changing it back..

Probably havent disabled it. I’ve found on my last two cars it’s a bit unpredictable.
I don’t know if dirt affects it but I’ve usually found it works if I change the angle of my foot.
Mind you you can also bang your angle so you soon give up on using it.

I find it a bit hit & miss, I have tried wearing "Clown Shoes" but it makes no difference.
