- CLK 270 CDI Avant Garde
Hi everyone, been on here for a while but not really made any posts but would like some advice.
I own a 2005 CLK 270 CDI
I was serviced by MB in March this year, when I advised them the ESP defective visit workshop message kept coming on.
I had a phone call later in the day, when I was told the poly v belt needed changing and that was it. Takes car away continues driving until today
Car went for MOT, told it had failed on ESP, when I advised service dept that this had been picked up in March, so why was it failing MOT, was advised because its a safety issue with the braking system. Asked why this was not mentioned back in march and then relised I had been driving round in a car with a safety issue.
Spoke to dealer principal, who advised will investigate and get back to me.
Appears that the steering angle sensor has failed, £782 to replace, to pass MOT, heres the thing, because I was not advised at service this was an issue, they offered to pay half.
Would you all take the offer or push for them to sort it FOC
