Dealer has postponed my booking. Looks I might be close to 1000 miles over by the time.

Its leased via mercedes finance. Any idea what the allowance is? Before they moan when I take it back next year.

Do you have evidence of your original booking and the dealers postponement? If so shouldn't be an issue

Alas, no

Wont be an issue as long as it has a stamp for the year they will be happy, I've had lease cars for years and what with my commitments and them not being able to supply a loan car a 1000 miles is nothing.

My EQC has just been serviced last week and it was a month overdue, not an issue.

Official limit is 1000miles/1month
The above is also what I was told as far as MB warranty (not lease / pcp though) was concerned. However, that was approx 8-years ago and I had it in writing from MB customer services at that time (no longer have it, though).

Surely there is more than one dealer that could carry out the service?

It’s longer than that.

During the first lockdown, Mercedes-Benz UK emailed owners in April 2020, and the relevant information is as follows (see the reference to the “previously 90 days / 1864 miles”):

"If you’re unable to attend a service appointment when your car’s service is due, we’ve implemented a temporary revised limit for overdue services:
For Mercedes-Benz cars, the limit has increased to the sooner of 180 days past the current due date for a service to be completed or the vehicle reaching the 3,728 mileage interval for a service to be completed (previously 90 days / 1,864 mileage interval).
Please be advised that delays to your vehicle being serviced, which are within the temporary revised limits for servicing set out above, will not invalidate your vehicle’s warranty. However, all of your other obligations and exclusions in relation to your vehicle’s warranty remain."

I am not sure when these extended limits reverted back to the 90days / 1,864 miles.

A lease may stipulate different limits, but these are the manufacturer limits.

The first lockdown was two years ago, I would ignore all of that claptrap as everyone and his dog are still using Covid as an excuse for bad service.

Personally I would make sure that I had any 'dealer suggested' service postponement in writing.

It’s not claptrap. It specifically references the pre-Covid limitations of 90 days / 1864 miles.

Are you concerned about it affecting a warranty, finance agreement or something else?

If it’s Mercedes warranty or finance agreement then call Mercedes-Benz UK Customer Services and ask them to be sure.

I recently renewed my Mercedes warranty and was advised service schedule could not be delayed more than a calendar month cor the warranty to remain valid. Not on Mercedes Finance, but as with most questions, ask the Finance company if you want the correct answer

I would agree that it does imply that the previous limit was 1864 miles.....
