Hi all

Had an incident coming off a nasty angled car park ramp in Paignton today. Despite being at a crawl, the car rose, then dropped on it's suspension, and cracked the exhaust on the angle change.

There is definitely some damage, as the exhaust note is noticeably deeper with more resonance.

I've had a look under the car and can see nothing too amiss, however when the throttle is blipped the exhaust gasses are at least in part being pushed downwards between the front wheels.

My plan, unless I am told that it's mad is to have a steady drive north and deal with it up there. I do not particularly want to spend the last day of my holiday dealing with this, and would prefer to use a mechanic whom I know.

The exhaust would have been hit pretty much just behind the front wheels. Could I be doing long term harm to the car?

As an aside I did notice some drips coming from the exhaust area under the middle of the car (around drivers location). I am hoping that this is AC run off...

Expensive holiday as somone also scrapped the car in a car park without leaving their details...
