Hi,
Can anyone explain how I get the chrome end pipes off my exhaust on my e320.
I have found a small screw underneath but loosening that still doesn't make
them move. Do I need to give them a hefty whack ??

Thanks in anticipation.

Don't wack them you'll damage or distort them, can you feel a join ? If so give it a spray with some penertrating oil like WD40 and if it will com off, then I'd try side to side jiggling movements.
Why you after taking them off ?
Cheers
Ben

Cos, I'm a fussy bugger and want give them a good clean LOL !!
I have tried some release oil but with no success but, I will try again.
Thank you.

Gaz plug seize spray is better or if you can safely apply a bit of heat then that might help in budging them, if you removed a screw assuming it's a grub screw then this would suggest they are removable

Drive it and get them warm .then tap with a soft nylon mallet apparently.

I put a block of wood against the back edge of the oval section one on our C Class and tapped it with a hammer, alternating from one side to the other till it came loose. That one is stainless steel rather than chrome, btw.
