F1 2019

Apart from the lap 1 stupidity, not much entertainment until the closing stages. Congrats to the winner!

Weakest drive from Max all season. Having made a poor start needed to focus on the bigger picture. Good job from Charles aided and abetted by Mr. Vettel, Lewis may well have prevailed otherwise.

I was pleased to see Charles achieve his maiden victory, but surprised (based on their performance so far this season) that Ferrari didn’t work out a new and imaginative way of messing it up.

Verstappen managed to demonstrate - again - that although he has massive talent he lacks the judgement that would have told him that he could
never win the race at the first corner, but he could certainly lose it.

....and Lewis provided some entertainment at the end of the race and left with an increased championship lead;)
Chuck LeCluck was due a win and I'm glad he got it. Heart break for Norris, but a classy first Dead Bull outing for Albon.

Charles Leclerc is a winner but also proves to be a class act!:thumb:
Agreed. Sorry for him that his own big day was overshadowed by the loss of his friend and colleague.

A maiden win that for the right and wrong reasons Charles will always remember ... as above, this was the Max of old leaving us a pretty dull race until the closing laps ...

Be interesting to see if Charles can go b2b next week ...

Noticeable that LH wasn’t wearing s black armband in the podium...

I thought he was - or maybe at some other point during the weekend.
At the last race - did he not wear a hat during the national anthem?

Huge F3 shunt at Monza! Car launched off a kerb in the Parabolica and literally flew into to fence and tyre barrier. Thank goodness nobody injured...

Yeah, just seen the footage at the beginning of F1 Qually show. Horrifying to see, especially at full speed. Imagine how the guys family & team felt watching that just a week on from Spa.

Good to see the Halo did it’s job.

The big chunky Sausage kerb (in place to enforce track limits). They have now been removed at that particular corner.

Kinda made me laugh. It seems only Carlos was willing to get on with it.

Q3 under investigation is laughable. They can’t ‘make’ teams do a final run. Maybe they’ll penalise them on the minimum lap speed.

Made me laugh! Any student of the recent antics in Moto3 with it's spate of new regulations and penalties would have seen that one coming. I knew as soon as they stopped for a tea break at the first chicane, there was nobody going to get the lap they wanted. If any lap at all.
They must have all seen what Mercedes did on the first Q3 outing and surely must have assumed that everyone would play games on the second outing, but still they all stuck to getting out as late as possible.....derrr....

Vettel narrowly avoided having his only lap time in final qualifying deleted for "abusing track limits" at the final Parabolica corner. This due to extra scrutiny at the corner following the removal of the kerbing or launch pad as Alex Peroni now prefers to call it. S.V. pleaded extenuating circumstances in so far as he was driving a Ferrari at the time of the alleged incident.;)

Well SV was over the line, and so the race control have shown mixed signals, still a interesting qualifying if only to show that the collective brains that run these teams blew a collective fuse,my thoughts were they were not going out, just why MB did not go a couple of minutes earlier is a mystery as it was it turned into a farce, still it should be a great race .

Looked to me that when his rear tyres were out his front R was back touching the line but v hard to be sure from the clips I saw
