Thanks for the replyHi Ceejay, your photo is so alike to mine it could be the same car! I simply rang my local mb dealership and they dealt with it.... unfortunately for me mb rejected the warranty claim in the end as they said there was evidence the "front end" had been off (I'd had my local body shop fit a face-lift grill) so they never rectified it for me. Had the same bodyshop repaint them instead for a couple of hundred.
I know this is an old thread, but hoping someone can help. Same issue with fading on my SLC. Mercedes are saying as car is out of warranty and the trim is plastic, not painted, unlikely to get fixed as a goodwill gesture. Car has been looked after really well - I’m gutted. Can anyone offer any advice please?
Welcome.
Find a good body shop and have these repainted?
So MB body shop says you can't paint plastic parts? I think that will be startling news to car manufacturers . I'd try another paint shop. but also get a price for the replacement parts for comparison.Thank you for your reply. I spoke to Mercedes bodyshop yesterday - was told it’s plastic so not a part that can be painted/sprayed. They said only solution is to replace with a new part.
