They rectified the fault free of charge so i don't see what more you could want from this to be honest? Yes it is a hassle to have to re-submit for test and rectified but accidents do happen and they took the car in and rectified it for free.
They could argue that in 6 months that car could have went elsewhere for some work. I know its hardly the case but i have seen this happen in the past. People trying to pass the buck to get a freebie (it just so happens case in question i knew the person the car went to for another repair before they came back trying to blame me for the fault)
Personally for me id be happy that they rectified the issue for free and no questions asked, an apology and the mot for free too
