Failing Battery

"I'll do it for £70."

"Fit it"
:D:D

Like it! dont worry it will be fine.

I have seen loads of petrol cars over the years with batteries half the size that should be on there and when i asked how long the answer was alway years.

Just for you Derek i have lifted the seat for a look at mine.

The correct battery for an E320 Coupé is 74Ah.* I paid £53 for a Bosch Silver from GSF at the end of 2004. For my Capri I've just bought a Bosch Silver S5004 at Costco for £48.28, replacing the original Kwik-Fit battery, which was £59 in 2003 and lasted 5.5 years; the equivalent from Kwik-Fit was over £100. I have always found MB dealer prices for batteries to be much higher than GSF or Costco.

* I feel very confident about that in spite of finding nothing to confirm it in the Owner's Manual, nor in the E-class owner's bible, nor in the Haynes manual. I think it came from my MB dealer when I found out how high their price was.
