Hi all

Looking for a bit of advice. The rears on my C350 CDI are getting very close to the wear bars and need a change. They are Continentals. Looking to move to something different and have narrowed it down to two options. The fronts have some life left in them, but tempted to get a set of 4.

I have always used Tyreleader.co.uk and the prices are...

FALKEN AZENIS FK510
FRONT : 225/40 ZR18 92Y XL, MFS
REAR : 255/35 ZR18 94Y XL, MFS

£346.18

GOODYEAR EAGLE F1 ASYMMETRIC 3
FRONT : 225/40 R18 92Y XL, MFS
REAR : 255/35 R18 94Y XL, MFS

£389.20

Only ~£40 or so difference. Need to factor in another £50 or so for fitting.

I had GY Asym 2s on my E86 Z4 Coupe and liked them.

What are people's views? Falkens have decent reviews having had a search.

Thanks,
Chris

Both great tyres, my view is the Goodyears will have slightly better grip but the Falkens will last longer. Your choice.

Have the Goodyear’s on my SL and they are much better than the Pirelli’s before. Both your choices are good tyres though.

Correct answer:D

Thanks!

Is it definitely advisable to do front and rears at the same time?

The front Contis aren't too bad and quite a few months left in them.

What about Hankooks.. where do they fit in if all, I'm told that they are harder wearing. I have a new set on my van (no comparison I know) but they do appear to be just that - harder wearing..

Cheers all.

Will order some rear Falkens shortly
