FAO those with W211 E55s

I can't get onto youtube here at work but by any chance is it the video of a black 211 going around Hockenheim sideways engulfing a little Elise in tyre smoke?

A noble means of disposing of a pair of tyres. Its what they would have wanted. Superb!

I love that video, makes me want to

a) Get an AMG
b) Learn to control it properly

But not in that order, should probably learn to drive before I get something as fast as an 211 AMG.
Although I suspect it would be wasted on me, I'd be forever driving it around trying to eek 30mpg out of it.

I was able to try this in my own modest way :o on the AMG driving experience I had at Brooklands. They also do a Silver Arrows display of AMG cars which do it in formation.

That guys got cojones ...

Proper sideways !!

It doesn't look like it, smokes up one tyre along most of the straights :cool:

Tyre smoke is brilliant. It's childish but in my old SAAB, it was quite fun to see how far it'd spin in 3rd :o

hard to tell with all that smoke but does look like its smoking both wheels at times.........I too had a Saab 9-3 with a Hirsch performance conversion + some later added abbott racing bits n bobs was producting around 280bhp :thumb: never smoked the wheels mind, cos im too cheap the pay for tyres lol

Only one black line along the straights though :p.
