Fastest and Quickest Mercedes Benz in the world

Fastest AND Quickest. Surely they are not hoping for TWO accolades?

Jimmy Cart

His Black is awesome.
I've had a few conversations with him when I was looking into supercharging mine.
Cool guy.
VERY cool Black Series!

:thumb:

yeah seen the car in the flesh and have met Jim too :)

He's a cool cat.
Weistec use Jim and another guy, Earl, for testing their units.
Earl is another really nice guy too.
They both have some serious machinery.
If I remember correctly, Earl is testing Wesitec's SLS black Series supercharger.

They are doing the SLS 850 Package with his car.

You never know in the future we may have a 9 second Mercedes in the UK :D

Nice, but surely the fastest M-B road car?

"Fastest and Quickest Mercedes Benz" would be an F1 car, probably followed by a CLK GTR race car. I would exclude the Saubers etc. as they weren't officially M-Bs ;)

F1 SLS pace car would be somewhere close.

It always makes me chuckle to watch that car being driven on the limit with a queue of bored F1 drivers behind desperately trying to keep their tyres warm at such a pedestrian speed... :D

CLK GTR (race car) was 630 bhp IIRC, and obviously very light.

Having the parachute on the back of that C63 made me chuckle... <shakes head>

I reckon that drag strip going downhill like it drops off a cliff helps quite a bit.

Do you know what the CLK Black was pushing HP wise?

I think the power is around 1100 - 1200 bhp
