Hi All,

Trying to get an answer on fault codes but not having much luck, would anyone be able to tell me what these fault codes are?

B0894
P0729

Car is a C63 AMG 2013 PPP.

Thanks for your help.

From the searching I did,

P = Powertrain (Engine and Transmission, example code P1267)
B = Body (includes Airbags, example code B0013)
C = Chassis (includes ABS brakes, example code C1234)
U = Vehicle Network codes, (example code U2023

P0729 - Automatic Transmission 6th Gear Incorrect Ratio
Low transmission fluid level
Shift solenoid mechanical fault
Hydraulic circuit fault
Transmission failure

So this one sounds like low transmission oil (possibly after changing TCU)

B code is a strange one though???

Codes came up at Vmax yesterday when the car was having issues, only on my Scangauge there were no warning lights or anything.

Cars getting recovered to MSL tomorrow for a check over. Hopefully we can get to the bottom of the issue.

Had a look and a B also comes up as a Steering problem......you had a leak yesterday???

Hi Craig have you checked whether its shifting into each gear correctly as the transmission code is a generic one used in all manufacturers...it may be that you have lost some fluid with the runs at santa pod maybe as it could have oheated
that code relates to failure to engage the correct gear usually 6th and or solenoid issue

what were the symptoms

My power steering pipe has gone, so that cars going back to MSL to have this replaced and the other pipes round the side of the engine checked over.

It was very hesitant yesterday in 6th for sure, when it shifted into 6th I was losing a lot of power and the car was holding back. Going to get this checked out as well as the fluids at MSL.

There was that nutty bloke who listed all the codes known to man ;).

See if there's a sticky on here Craig.

what happened to the power steering pipe????

It's leaking, I'm not sure why but on Stage 3 there is a relocation reservoir so the pipes need to be re-run and re-fabricated. It's a very tight fit getting all those pipes down the side of the engine.

Will know more today once the car's back at MSL it's just been recovered.

I found it mate, but the link to the website doesn't work anymore. I've got an idea what the codes are and will check with Mercedes today.

They have to move the reservoir on stage 1 / 2.
I am pretty confident you will find the codes are just low oil levels.

Although I do remember when Chris took Acids car on Autobhan it didn't want to go into 6th or 7th gear (cant remember which) and pulled power on him which could be something to do with Torque limits????

Might be time for the built transmission

I will get it on dyno and get Acid to do some testing, I've emailed Weistec as well and we will see what everyone comes back with.

If it is transmission related, happy to got built transmission but haven't had too many issues with it yet.

I'm so tempted go forged block, port and polished heads, blue printed engine with built transmission, but it's probably only going to see around an additional 100bhp.

Decisions decisions :dk:

Go for it, please mate!

Here are some Merc DTC codes but can't see and 'B' codes below B1000?

Get it done,
Buy engine from Ebay (seen them for 7K) send it to Weistec to do there magic, then when it comes back bolt on your blower and sell your old engine.......Happy days :D

I was thinking of buying a spare engine and transmission and doing this so I can still use the car while it's all being built. Will speak to Acid but it's something I am seriously considering.

I will then Run NOS and 60mm pulley for events and hopefully be closer to 1000bhp, but worried the car may become undriveable.

Having had lots of experience with Nitrous Oxide in the bike world, I'd advise to stay well clear of it.

Nothing but trouble, have to keep on refilling it all the time even with a 10 or 20lb bottle, and it'll melt a piston or 4 and head whenever it feels like it. The odd occasion when it works well isn't worth the potential downside in my opinion.

Stick with boost, the gift that keeps on giving.

Or if you do wanna run nitrious, run it with an ecu that controls everything (fueling, nos, ...) and more importantly, logs and corrects everything in case something fails.

Nor sure if Syvecs also has a solution for the C63...
