Faulty fuel senders?

I have a 202, 1998 C200. Ive never had this problem before and had the car for over a year and normally fill it up every week without any issues.

This week the fuel guage seems to have a mind of its own. After its reached halfway it has been moving up and down the halfway mark erratically. I know there is less that half tank for sure but the needle always seems to raise itself very slightly and gradually nearer to the half way mark everytime im driving.

I started the car earlier and the needle was sitting halfway between 1/4 tank and 1/2 tank markings. After a local drive of about 6-7 miles it is now showing to be just under 1/2 tank, so has risen again.

Im not sure if its just me looking into it too much and this is normal because ive never noticed this before.

Any ideas? I think it might be faulty fuel senders?

Thanks

Fill a can for surety, add some fuel system cleaner and keep driving for a while to observe.
