Find R54 RMW :(

Seems that the occupants of the Mitsubishi fled, as opposed to the car itself leaving the scene. No registered owner though, which means it's probably a very dodgy set of occupants.

You aren't allowed to say that , some people get very indignant when you call them that .... ;)

But no doubt they were ....

Am I reading this right, the baby was left in the car and the occupants left?

I think you'll find there were 2 cars invlolved. Sounds like the guys in the Mitsubishi may have caused the accident, then scarppered leaving the car behind. Mother and baby were in the other car.

You definitely can't say that on here, far too many do gooders.

It will be pikey scum though.

Don't worry, when they get caught we will all be paying for their defence though, so that's OK.

I do wonder how the baby came to die.

At age two months, the only safe place would be in a rear-facing child seat fitted in the rear of the car. The fact that other adults survived relatively unscathed indicates that the crash wasn't that severe so the baby should have been the best protected of all the car's occupants. Tragically, it would appear that was not the case.

The fact that the car contained four adults as well as the baby indicates that safety was being severely compromised.

I am not transferring blame in any way to the toyota occupants, but this does look like a case of overloading the car, which, when the unthinkable happens, has a massive impact on survival.

Five people is below average for a toyota in Smethwick! Joking apart I hope they catch the cowards responsible for this. I know from my cousin who is a copper that evos and imprezas are often used as "pool cars" for drug gangs (fast cars driven wrecklessly so police do not chase them for public safety) so chances of the police knowing who they are is quite high, proving it will be something else completely.

I thought Germany had bought Greece in a recent sale of dodgy economies:)

Well, they sent the money via Western Union, but nothing's turned up yet

If they left the scene in a hurry , there should be plenty of forensic evidence to identify the perps - prints , DNA etc are all very hard to get rid of , even by burning the car .
