Flashing SRS light

For some reason the other day (hopefully someone can elighten me!) the SRS light on my CLK320 (W209) started flashing after about 3 hrs of driving. There was no malfunction listed in the central display and it went after I stopped and started the car. It's not happened since (touch wood). Any ideas ?

try ensuring the connections under the seats are secure. (red wires i think)

Yeah, yellow plugs under the front of the seats, there is a modified plug to rectify poor contacts. These are SRS contacts. Is it a cab?
