I parked my S Class up for 3 weeks, when i went to use it, i couldnt even open the doors. i have since taken the boot battery off and charged it (only a year old), however - i have drove it only a few miles, when i parked it up i have noticed that the 'instrument panel' still illuminates, with the usual warning lights that come on when the iginion is in first position !!!

i have read on a few threads that there is a axillary battery ?? could this be at fault now ??

Help please

sorry - year 2000 S280

I had a 2000 S430. It only has one battery.

What warning lights are you getting?
Turn starting wheel lock to lock a few times. This will clear BAS ABS ESP lights if there aren't any actual faults.

its the 'brake' warning lights, and the usual ignition warning lights and looking out to the car now, the speedo and dials are all lit up too ??

The speedo is lit up? Have you just pressed the unlock button on your key?

Or are you saying the dash is lit up all the time, even hours after locking it?

the dash is constantly lit, even now 3 hours after i locked the car !!

sounds like u have a wireing fault somewear sounds like your ignition switch has a constant live for some reason did u jump start it?

help !!!!!! the display now says "display defective - visit workshop"
