Hey all, I have a 447 (2015) and plan on keeping it a while. Do you tend to treat the additional work as standard?,
Specifically thinking about auto and diff oil
Thanks as always

Not sure what you're asking.... there's a service schedule for these things, and yes the service schedule should be followed.... do you have the car's service history?

In short, when was the last time that these items were done:

Engine oil and filter change
Air filter change
Fuel filter change
Spark plugs change (if petrol)
Cabin filter change
Brake fluid change
Gearbox oil (if manual) or ATF and filter (if automatic) change

I have the history but I will say it’s not the most comprehensive.
what I guess I’m trying to ask is more about the additional work that was mentioned in the main sticky post.
I fully intend to follow the main schedule. So I’m wondering if everyone tends to also follow the additional as well ( the ZA and the ZB). I’ve heard different things about changing the differential oil, some seem to, others don’t. I’m also sure the transmission fluid should have been changed on the autobox but can’t find a record.
Pardon my ignorance on the subject, just want to make sure I’m keeping things right

Cabin filter - oct ‘24 (me)
Brake fluid - no rexord
Auto fluid - no record

Van has done 93k now

I believe mb consider the diff oil to last eternal. It's the first job I do on all my mercs tbh. For the sakes of £10 . What comes out is usually watery and black. What goes in is oily and clear .

I see, Yes that’s why I was wanting opinions really, that’s what I thought but my booklet specifically mentions a change every 120,000km , under ZB additional.

Follow your own schedule. Maybe simply half what mb says . Mileage and/time.
